Mumbai is the larger city in India; many communities settled there, with an area spanning over 468 square kilometers, the area is managed by the BrihamMumbai Municipal Coroporate, and the city is divided in neighbourhoods or areas, generally the areas is constituted by people of the same community, below are detailed each area:

South Mumbai. It is the oldest area in the city, considered the commercial zone of India, and contains downtown area of the city; inside of this district are Fort, Colaba, Malabar Hill, Nariman Point, Marine Lines, Tardeo. The neighborhoods located there are the richest of the India, and it also is the touristiest place of Mumbai, there you can find Gateway of India, Mumbaiís museums, the Taj Mahal Hotel, art galleries, bars and upscale restaurants.

South Central Mumbai. The area is the center of the white collar offices, there is Mumbaiís Zoo, and the Worli sea face and the temple, and formerly it was the industrial heartland of the city. The area covers to Byculla, Parel, Worli, Prabhadevi, Dadar.

North Central Mumbai. The area developed quickly after of the independency of India, because many immigrants settled there, now is a upper middle neighborhoods, the area cover to Dharavi, Matunga, Vadala, Sion, Mahim.

Western Suburbs. This area covers to Bandra, Khar, Santa cruz, Juhu, Vile Parle, & Andheri, there live rich that canít afford in the South Mumbai. There also are the two airports of Mumbai, the most famous churches, and a large Christian Community.

Central Suburbs. The area is home the middle class of Mumbai, and the industrial Gujarati community lives there, Mulund and Ghatkopar, inside the area is located Kurla, Vidyavihar, Ghatkopar, Vikhroli, Kanjur Marg, Bhandup, Mulund & Powai.

Harbour Suburbs. This area was a satellite town, but when people knew about the existence of an atomic research centre, they was went to other areas. Now it is called how the way to Navi Mumbai, inside the area are Chembur, Mankhurd, Govandi, Trombay.

Northwest Mumbai. There is the Sanjay Gandhi National Park, the Kanheri, Mahakali, Jogeshwari, Mandapeshwar rock-cut temples, also in the area is located the not dirty and beautiful beaches, the area is the example of the how is growing Mumbai. It covers to Jogeshwari, Goregaon, Malad, Kandivali, Borivali, Dahisar.
