This charming beach is located to 6 kilometers from Margao, is famous by its natural beauty, and the frilly movements of the beach of the sea appear as if the seas is lazily enjoying the tickling sensations spread by the waves riding over it. Foreign and local tourists love the place because they are absorbed in its charm and completely feel relaxed and rejuvenated after spending time there. Colva beach was developed quickly in the last few years, and many hotels and resorts were built in the area that offer comfort and luxury to the guest of Margao; there you can find several shacks lined up along the beach, these shacks offered you delicious Goan cuisine, others are bars, pubs, or fast food establishments.
This beach of natural beauty is located near of Colva Beach, exactly to 2 kilometers, and to 7 kilometers from Margao, the beach has a hallowed beginnings as the spot where the sage Parashurama, sixth incarnation of Vishnu, shot an arrow to make the waters recede. The beach closes to nature and is totally untouched, with quiet ambience, except the weekends and evening, in these times it gets fairly crowed. The Stately Church Of The Holy Spirit
Church lies in the heart of a messy but charming colonial enclave, is an example of late Baroque architecture in Margao, boasting a pristine white facade and an interior dripping with gilt crystal and stucco. It was built by the Portuguese in 1675, and now is presiding over the dusty Largo de Igreja Square.
The House of Seven Gables or Sat Burzam Ghor
This ancient house that belonged to Sebastiano da Silva was built around 1790s, and before it has drawn tourist for a long time. Now only three Gables remain in the house, five of seven Gables were destroyed for time and the consumption; three of them remains still maintain a respectful position in every visitor’s heart.
Chandor is a small village that is located to 13 kilometers from Margao, across the fertile rice fields of Salcete, the highlight from Chandor is the magnificent Menezes Braganza House, considered the greatest of all colonial mansion in Goa, and the mansion was constructed around 16 century, by the wealthy Braganza family. The mansion has a huge double storeyed façade, with 28 windows seen from the entrance itself, and beautiful garden behind the mansion. Both interior wings of mansion contains several furniture and Chinese porcelain, a number of antiques, and a diamond encrusted toenail of Francis Xavier which was retrieved from a local bank and now is showed in tiny chapel on the east wing.
