Palolem has a beautiful crescent beach, where along of this you find many brightly lit shack cafes, making of the Palolem a cozy place. There you always find someplace to eat, the restaurant shacks offers several multicuisine foods, snacks, and specially sea food, but the fish is bought mainly from Margao and Karwar, the local fishers provide generally from mackerel, and the western cuisine is very popular, especially for foreign tourist. If you have a tight budget, is not problem because outside the Beach Resort is a row of tiny Bhaji Stall, and also the Hira Restaurant in the village proper, where you can eat tasty and filling breakfast of pao bhaji, fluffy bread rolls, omelettes and chai for next nothing.

Some places where you can go to eat are: the Classic Restaurant, there serve freshly backed western wholefood and cakes. Other popular place is Sun ‘n’ Moon, just behind of the beach. Cool Breeze, located in the beach road. Some other places where you can go to eat while you stay in Palolem are: Beach Resort, Bhakti Kutir, Cozy Nook, Hira, Maria’s.

Later in the night, several travelers go to the palm trees bars, where die-hard drinkers have their paradise; these locals stay open until the last customer has staggered home. Palolem's raison and pride d'ętre are its home distilleries, and coconut feni that became in the main cottage industry.
