Anjuna Travel Guide

Eating & Drinking

In Anjuna you can eat and drink very well, and in places with a good view to the beach, the beach shacks tend to be overprice, and in other places is little expensive, for example in the flea market. Anjuna has a good cuisine of wholefood, healthy vegetarian dishes and juices; and the village is proud of a crop of quality cafés. Many restaurants are simple semi open-air, thatched palm leaf affairs, specializing in fish and fast food.

But other restaurants in the area are very sophisticated and serve lots of kind of typical dishes and international cuisines, such as Tibetan food, Indian, Chinese, Tandoori, fresh seafood and barbeque dishes. Some of these restaurants are: restaurant of the Anjuna Beach Resort (located in DeMello Vaddo back to the Vagator Avenue, across the beach), Axirwaad (483 Rua de Boa Vista, in the Mapusa road), Lafranza’s (south of village on the road to the market), Martha’s Breakfast Home (907 Montero Waddo), Orgasmic (next to Oxford Store), Rose Garden Hotel (on the beach south), Sea Breeze (near of the market), Sun & Sand (next to the market), and Starco Restaurant (On the Mapusa Avenue, near of the beach).
