Getting Ajmer

By Rail

The train arrives to the Ajmerís Railway Station that is in the centre of the town, generally come from Delhi and Jairpur, but Ajmer is well connected with other cities of the Country like Ahmedabad, Udaipur, Cittor and Kota. The Delhi-Ahmedabad Mail is a slow train to travel from/to Ajmer, and if you want to get fast to Ajmer you should take Ajmer Shatabdi Express.

By Bus

The State Bus Stand is located on the northeast edge from the town, to 2 km from the Railway Station. National Highway 8 through the the state, you can travel from/to Delhi (India's capital), it takes 9 ours by bus, buses arrive from/to Jairpur in 3-5 hours depending of the bus that you get, buses from/to Jodhpur make the journey in 4-5 hours, and you can get bus from/to Pushkar.

Getting Around

In Ajmer you can walk around, but within the city are available rented cars, local buses, auto rickshaws, cycle rickshaws and horse-drawn tongas. If you decide walk in the city you can see the Dargah bazaar to 10 minutes, near of this place are beautiful back-alley and in small side street across fro the main street show wonderful architecture and murals.
